For any mum who has experienced a traumatic birth, it can be devastating. It is more than likely that you will need emotional support in one degree or another. It is very normal and nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about.

Below are some links to various groups or specialist organisations that may be able to help:

BTA Support Group - our Facebook group where you can get in touch with women who have been through severe birth tears. This may be enough to help you sail through those early days.

Birth Trauma Association - this is a great place to start. A UK based charity with lots of helpful information and places to find all different kinds of support including counsellors.

MIND - support & advice centre for mental health issues including maternal
​
NHS - self referral for emotional help
